View from the lookout on Mount St. Alban
Forillon National Park, established in 1970, is located at the leading edge of the Gaspé. Its seascapes, cliffs and mountains cover a 244 km 2. Forillon protects a representative sample of the Notre-Dame and Megantic and certain elements of the marine region of the Gulf of St. Lawrence. The presence of ten different rock formations, the seabird colonies and enigmatic arctic-alpine plants give the park its unique character. Located within the seaside park, heritage site of Great Grave reflects the lifestyle of fishing families.
