The Saguenay Fjord carries the waters of the Atlantic Ocean and Gulf of St. Lawrence to the heart of the legendary kingdom of Saguenay. It drains the waters of a watershed of 88 000 km2, which stretches over 550 km away. This
inlets rises in central Quebec and from the boreal forest in eastern Canada. It is unique in its geographical location, its fantastic history and distribution of its population that occupies the banks over its entire length.

Over time, the Saguenay fjord has been the first "road march" for indigenous peoples. Then it became the gateway to a mysterious imaginary kingdom. Then he turned into Domaine du Roy and fur trade route. In 1837, the first settlers to open this almost virgin territory, took it by storm. Subsequently, the Saguenay was known as a tourist destination with the epic dream cruise aboard the "white ships".

The natural environment of the Saguenay Fjord dazzles people who discover it, but it does not reveal itself at first sight. Recently, an attempt to lift the veil on its mysteries whose revelations are often surprising.
The alternation of the seasons and marked the sometimes harsh climate in the constantly changing landscape: sometimes as sometimes dive right in Arctic oasis at the foot of his cliffs. Its deep waters are home to nearly 60 different species of fish and mammals including the famous Beluga.
