As noted earlier, many military exercises and other simulations had been scheduled for September 11, 2001. Consider some of these cases, beginning with one of the most astonishing. The following article was published August 22, 2002 by AP (Associated Press).
"Described by the government as a bizarre coincidence, one U.S. intelligence agency had planned a September 11 last year in which a lost plane collided with one of its buildings. But the cause was not terrorism - it was rather a simulated accident.
Officials at the National Reconnaissance Office in Chantilly, Virginia, planned an exercise that morning in which a small corporate jet crashed into one of four towers of the headquarters of the agency after having experienced mechanical problems.
The agency is located approximately four miles [four miles] runways at Dulles International Airport in Washington. [...]
Adding to the coincidence, American Airlines Flight 77 - the Boeing 767 [sic] that was hijacked and crashed into the Pentagon - had flew from Dulles at 8:10 on the morning of September 11 or 50 minutes before the start of the year. It struck the Pentagon around 9:40 am, killing 64 people aboard the aircraft and another 125 on the ground.
The National Reconnaissance Office operates many of the country's spy satellites. It recruits its staff in the military and the CIA.
After the attacks of Sept. 11, the majority of the 3,000 people who worked at the agency headquarters were sent home, except for essential personnel, Haubold said [spokesman for the agency]. [...]» N3
Is it not incredible that an agency with direct affiliations with the U.S. Secret Service has taken on the morning of September 11 simulation almost identical to what was happening at exactly the same time? And to add to the coincidences, the agency that ran this simulation was very close to Dulles Airport and the Pentagon?
After everything we've seen so far, does not it more plausible that the U.S. intelligence services had deliberately planned this year in order to create confusion especially in the halls of air traffic control, or to serve as an emergency exit if possible some something was wrong when running the final?
Moreover, observe the reaction of air traffic controllers when they learned that the planes were actually hijacked. The following excerpt is taken from the official transcript of records of their papers published in Vanity Fair in August 2006.
"[...] 08: 37: 52
BOSTON CENTER: 'Hello. Boston Center TMU [Traffic Management Unit], we have a problem here. We have a hijacked aircraft that goes to New York, and we need you, we need someone deploys F-16s or something up there help us. "
POWELL: 'Is it real or is it an exercise? "
BOSTON CENTER: 'No, this is not an exercise, not a test. "
comment Vanity Fair: The question of Powell - ˝ Is it real or is it an exercise? ˝ - is constantly heard almost verbatim recordings as troops poured over the floor operations and received a briefing on the diversion. Powell, like almost everyone in the room, assumed that the first phone call came from the team that sent simulation service ˝ ˝ of inputs - simulated scenarios - part of the training exercise that day. [...]

FOX: 'I've never seen so many real things happen for a year. " [...]
08: 57: 11
NASYPANY: 'I think we're going to exercise on hold. What do you think? " [Laughs] [...]
In the background you can hear several soldiers who try to understand what happens.
09: 04: 50
- 'Is this explosion part of what we see now on television? "
- 'Yes'.
- 'Jesus ...'
- 'And there's also a second possible diversion - a United Airlines ...'
- "Two planes?"
- 'You're not serious ...'
- 'I think it is a damn input, to be honest. "
comment Vanity Fair: The last sentence - ˝ I think it's a fucking ˝ input - referred to the exercise, meaning a given simulation. [...]» V3
Certainly, simulation exercises occasioned much confusion in this room air traffic control. Surprising, since to add to coincidences, other military exercises were conducted simultaneously by Norad. In this regard, an excerpt published in The Toronto Star December 9, 2001.
"Deep inside a mountain in Colorado and far beneath the granite of North Bay, members of the Defence Command North American Aerospace Command (NORAD) are at the highest level of combat personnel ˝ ˝ for annual exercise major is testing every facet of the organization.
Operation Northern Vigilance, planned months in advance, included the deployment of fighter aircraft to locations in Alaska and northern Canada. Part of the exercise was a simulation, but one was real: NORAD kept an eye on the Russians, who had deployed long-range bombers to their extreme north in a similar exercise. [...]
An hour after the start of his shift [Captain Mike Jellinek], something unexpected happened. Air Defense Sector of NORAD's Northeast (NEADS), based in Rome, NY, contacted the mountain.
The Federal Aviation Administration was faced with a hijacking and asked NORAD to offer its support. This was not part of the year.
In a flash, Operation Northern Vigilance was canceled. Any simulated information, called input ˝ ˝, was removed from the screens.
Someone shouted to watch the monitor that displayed images of CNN.
˝ At this time, we saw the World Trade Center, one of the towers with smoke coming out of it. And a minute later, we saw the second plane hit the second tower live ˝, said Jellinek. [...]» W18
Thus, additional military exercise called Northern Vigilance involved the air defense system and took place the morning of September 11, 2001. This exercise required including sending fighter planes away from the sensitive area of the United States, under attack that day. More specifically, said maneuver reduced by 30% the capacity of immediate response by the U.S. fleet of fighters, as shown in this excerpt from the Aviation Week's, dated June 3, 2002.
"[...] The confusion was overwhelming [to the command center for NORAD], but officials and the soldiers returned immediately to their professional roles, trying to separate rumors from facts. [...]
At that time, NORAD had 20 fighters armed planes on alert throughout the North American continent. Only 14 were on U.S. territory, spread over seven bases, the others were in Alaska and Canada [as part of Exercise Northern Vigilance]. Within 18 hours, 300 fighter planes could be alerted, in 26 locations. [...]» W19
Given that the indications of a threat from the airspace abounded everywhere, and that even Congress had been warned of an imminent attack, was it appropriate to send six of the 20 fighters available, 30% of the fleet on alert, away from the sensitive area (Washington and New York) for a single financial year? Let us not forget that up to 300 additional hunters were available to fill the temporary void created by Northern Vigilance, but strangely, none of them was used to counterbalance the strength of defense.
noted that one of the largest military bases in the United States, based Andrews Air Force, is located near the Pentagon. This was the home base the 121st squadron, assigned to defend the national capital. But no hunter was not deployed from this base that morning. Why? Here is an excerpt from USA Today dated September 16, 2001.
"[...] Until Tuesday, the fighter base closest to alert the Pentagon was based Langley Air Force in Virginia, 130 miles [210 kilometers] away. She was too far for the fighter planes can intercept the hijacked commercial aircraft before it hit the Pentagon.
Base Andrews Air Force Home Air Force One [presidential plane] is located only 15 miles [24 kilometers] from the Pentagon, but there was no hunter assigned. [...]» W150
Surprise! No fighter at that time was therefore assigned to the air defense base in the U.S. capital, despite numerous threats of terrorist attacks. But where was the 121st squadron? Let this excerpt from the Aviation Week article of care to enlighten us.
"[...] The 121st Fighter Squadron based at Andrews was not on alert Sept. 11 because the unit of the Air National Guard District de Colombia (DCANG) was not assigned to the Defence Force's Air Defense Command North American Aerospace. [...]
The day of the 121st squadron started normally. Three F-16 flew in a formative mission air-ground over the territories of North Carolina, 180 nautical miles [333 kilometers]. [...]» W151
Thus, it is the benefit of a training mission in North Carolina that the sky of Washington was left vulnerable on the morning of September 11. It would seem that sending six of the 20 fighters of the air fleet in Alaska was not enough rash in the eyes of military leaders, who decided to lower our guard in the capital.
According to the official report of the inquiry, only two teams fighter planes were on alert to protect the eastern third of U.S. territory at the time of the attacks. One of them was based in Massachusetts and one in Virginia (W2).
also observe how the treatment of New York Press, a weekly variety and new, the reaction of the air defense system in its issue of January 8, 2002.
"re-examine the curious lack of action military on the morning of September 11. [...]
The hijackings that carry passengers are not unusual and the U.S. government has detailed plans to deal with these situations. On 11 September, these plans were completely ignored. The New York Times, air traffic controllers knew at 8:20 in the morning, that American Airlines Flight 11, bound for Los Angeles from Boston, had probably been hijacked. When the first news report appeared at 8:48, saying that a plane had hit the World Trade Center, they knew it was Flight 11. " [...] The
United States are supposed to deploy military aircraft from the moment a hijacking is confirmed. The revelation of [Richard] Myers Inter-Services Committee of the Senate Arms September 13, explaining that no fighter aircraft had taken off before the Pentagon had been hit, then was surprising. Senators and even television presenters were a little incredulous. [...]
obviously another story more reassuring was required, and in the evening of Sept. 14, CBS provided the latter revealing that the FAA had actually alerted units air defense of the United States of a possible hijacking at 8:38 am Tuesday morning, and then six minutes later two F-15 had received a deployment order to the base of the Otis Air National Guard in Cape Cod [Massachusetts] and at 8:56 the F-15 were racing to New York. Unfortunately, the hunters were still 70 miles [112 kilometers] away when the second plane struck the south tower. Then at 9:30, three F-16 took off from the base Langley [Virginia] Air Force, 150 miles [240 kilometers] south of Washington. But only seven minutes later at 9:37, Flight 77 crashed on Pentagon. The F-16 arrived in Washington just before 10am.
This story, which is now version 'official', raises more questions than answers. The F-15 can fly at speeds of 1875 miles per hour [3018 km / h], while the F-16 can move at 1500 miles an hour [2414 km / h]. If it took half an hour to F-16 to cover 150 miles [240 kilometers] therefore they can not have flown more than 300 miles an hour [483km / h] - 20% capacity. The Boeing 767 and 757 have cruising speeds of 530 mph [850km / h]. What tardiness! Assuming that the base of the Otis Air National Guard is located 180 miles [290 kilometers] of Manhattan, the F-15 should have taken less than six minutes to get there. Moreover, since Washington, DC, is located just over 200 miles [322 kilometers] from New York, the two F-15 fighters had time to go to DC, to intercept Flight 77 and pick up their breakfast started.
Ah, but of course, the transponders were turned off. So nobody could track the planes. If it were true that when the transponder is off, plane becomes invisible, then there would be no defense against enemy aircraft. A normal radar echo returns from the metal surface of an airplane and still identifies the scope of this radar.
Fortunately, we can always count on top quality media to ensure we remain confident in our government. "R2
course, this reluctance on the side of the air defense could always be interpreted as incompetence, although no one was reprimanded or fired for the slow response. But should we also remove that all these maneuvers have been planned specifically for the purpose of weakening and slowing air defense capabilities in the specific area where the attacks would occur?
latter hypothesis certainly not marry the virtues psychologically reassuring to the conclusion that gives the thesis of incompetence, but would not explain it any better but the subsequent promotion of General Ralph Eberhart and Lieutenant Colonel Kevin Nasypany, which Both were in a position to control air defense system during the attacks?
Now consider the case of Flight 11 a little more closely. The following data are those provided by the final report of the inquiry. After takeoff, at 7:59 am, it was determined that the terrorists went into action shortly after 8:14. Then at 8:19, American Airlines was aware of the diversion. From that moment, according to normal procedures of air defense, the chain of command is normally alerted in seconds. But according to the official report, "the Centre [air control] of Boston did not follow the protocol to require military assistance through the prescribed chain of command. [...] At 8:38 am, Center Boston NEADS contacted the [military air defense]. It was the first notice received by the military - at all levels - that American Flight 11 was hijacked. [...]
In summary, NEADS received notice of the hijacking nine minutes before the impact on the North Tower. This nine minutes notice before impact was the longest that the military would be before each of the four hijackings. [...]
defense of the airspace of the United States on September 11 was not conducted in accordance with the training and pre-existing protocols. He [...] proved that military air traffic control at NEADS had a nine-minute warning for the first hijacking, no warning in advance on the second, no advance warning about the third, and no advance warning to the fourth. W2 [...]»
Thus, even the commission of inquiry concluded that the defense protocols were not followed on September 11. But as incredible as it may seem, it contends, however, that the military received no warning about Flight 93 before it crashes, when it was hijacked at 9:28 am and it crashed at 10:03 (or 10:06, depending on the version) or 35 or 38 minutes later. Similar situation on the side of the flight 77, which was hijacked at 8:54 and then hit the Pentagon 43 minutes later at 9:37.
No warning?
Remember though Mineta's testimony minister, who declared that "a young man entered and told the vice president 'The plane is 50 miles. The plane is 30 miles. " And when he had to say in 'The plane is 10 miles', the young man also asked the vice president' Do the orders still stand? " [...]».
Since Vice President Dick Cheney and staff in the White House PEOC assiduously followed the path of Flight 77, the point of keeping a count, why in the official claim that the military received no advance warning ?
The Committee therefore submits that all this time, members were unaware of the hijackings. To believe the final report after two aircraft were rushed into the twin towers in New York, controllers and FAA officials did not submit any information to members regarding the diversion of flights 77 and 93.
Let us also remember that the official certifies that the radar screens of air traffic controllers were strangely revealed the presence of a 'ghost plane' Flight 11 by pure chance, and that the military had been trained on the wrong track. The Washington Post, among others, had reported this.
"[...] In fact, the commission reported a year later than the audio command center northeast of NORAD and other documents show clearly that the military never had any planes hijacked in sight and they have at some time pursued a phantom plane - American Airlines Flight 11 - long after he crashed into the World Trade Center. [...]» M8
Curiously, for the military have been pursuing this 'ghost plane', identified as Flight 11 after it has hit the World Trade Center, it had been necessary for the transponder this aircraft is in motion somewhere in the American sky, not buried in the rubble of the north tower. Or, a technical failure extraordinary radar systems is the cause of the error. Incidentally, this failure allegedly identified flight 11 among the thousands of other aircraft while in flight. What are the odds that such a thing occurred?
then we remember that no image can distinguish clearly the first plane hit the north tower at 8:46, Flight 11 supposedly, and that the Commissioner Stephen Gregory reported that many Eyewitnesses described the aircraft as being green military-style.
How a 'ghost plane' issuing the identity of Flight 11 did he simply appear on the radar of most major world power and then succeed in distracting the military in all the worst possible time?
What luck for terrorists!
*****
But this is not all simulations and other events worth mentioning. Fast forward to the military base of Belvoir, Virginia, located just a few miles from the Pentagon. On September 5, 2002, the press service of The Connection Newspapers, a group of newspapers in Virginia, reported a military exercise individual who had also been scheduled for the morning of September 11.
"[...] Two groups have rushed to the Pentagon during that fateful morning were the Fire Department Fort Belvoir Fire and a contingent of engineers from the battalion headquarters of the USAG Fort Belvoir, Military District of Washington. [...]
˝ Ironically, we were given courses on rescue techniques when we were informed that planes had hit the World Trade Center ˝, said Staff Sergeant Mark Williams. ˝ My team was one of the first to answer the call, one of the first to enter the building when we arrived at [the Pentagon]. ˝ [...]
Lieutenant Colonel Mark R. Lindon, commander Battalion headquarters Belvoir, led a garrison control exercise. The aim was to test security at the base in the event of a terrorist attack. The training exercise is passed to the operational mode this morning. [...]»
W126 also see the comments of Lieutenant Colonel John Felicio, who took part in emergency medical operations at the Pentagon. His comments are drawn from the archives of the Office of Medical History.
"[...] What has helped us greatly in our efforts was the two years that we MASCALS previously conducted with management and the clinic staff. You know, it was a bit weird. The scenario of these [exercises] MASCALS was very similar to what happened really. Scenario for both our [exercises] MASCALS was based on a plane that crashed into the Pentagon courtyard. [...]» W149
The coincidences continue! Tokens then added to a report on September 16, 2001 in the Washington Post. It addressed the attacks with a different approach, focusing on the practical experiences of several individuals involved in them despite the tragedy. Through numerous examples where successive rises of Matt Rosenberg. In Here is an excerpt.
"[...] The prosaic poetry is shown in everyday life, work and everywhere, even in places and among people accustomed to danger. Sheila Moody had presented for his first day working as an accountant at the Pentagon, taking the subway to get to his office - First Floor, E Ring, Corridor 4, Room 472 - before sunrise for that it can fulfill its piles of paperwork. Matt Rosenberg, a doctor at the health clinic of the imposing military headquarters, was down the hall 8, and was grateful enjoy an hour of uninterrupted work in which he could study a new medical emergency disaster situation involving the unlikely scenario that a plane crashed into the building. At Dulles Airport, Capt. Charles Burlingame, who had been F-4 pilot in the Navy, ... [...]» W122
Thus, the Washington Post we simply swung to face the heart of this article that doctor was studying a new contingency plan for the specific purpose of responding to situation 'unlikely' that a plane would crash on the Pentagon. The story then changed the subject completely!
And as if the series of chances were not already long enough, we discover in an article in the International Herald Tribune, owned by the New York Times, another simulation was scheduled for September 11. It stood at a very special place. Here's the short excerpt relevant, which found itself deep in the article dated April 7, 2006.
"[...] Just before the south tower collapsed at 9:59, a stuffed calls were placed to 911 operators. One of those calls was from Shimmy Biegeleisen, who worked on computer systems for Fiduciary Trust in the South Tower. It was the 97th floor where, by chance, a simulated emergency was scheduled that day.
Biegeleisen called his home in Brooklyn, spoke with his wife and prayed with a friend, W127 [...]»
Surprisingly, the reporter did not seem curious to get more information on the nature of this simulation emergency.
conclude this section with an article published in USA Today April 18, 2004.
"In the two years preceding the attacks of 11 September, the Aerospace Defense Command North American [NORAD] conducted exercises simulating what the White House describes as unimaginable at the time: hijacked airliners and used as weapons to crush them at targets and cause maximum casualties.
One imagined targets was the World Trade Center. In another exercise, fighter planes were practiced to shoot over the Atlantic Ocean a plane full of poisonous chemicals moving towards a target in the United States. In a third scenario, the target was the Pentagon - but the simulation was not performed after officials of Defence have considered unrealistic, officials said NORAD and Defense.
NORAD, in a written statement, confirmed that such hijacking exercises occurred. [...]
˝ Several types of commercial and military aircraft were used to simulate hijackings ˝, the statement said. [...] But
exercises involving real aircraft show that at least part of the government believed that the possibility of such attacks, though unlikely, merited to linger. [...]
President Bush said in a press conference Tuesday ˝ person within our government at the very least, and I do not believe the previous government, could imagine that planes crashing into buildings so large ˝. [...]» N2
Why the Bush administration Afirma Does that such scenarios were simply unimaginable, even as military exercises simulating hijackings to crush them into the World Trade Center had taken place? The crisis management agency FEMA U.S. had yet even presented the North Tower of the World Trade Center in a pattern on the cover of his study on the response to terrorism, from August 1997 until June 1999 (see Annex Photos - PH-16.13 and 16.14). J6
added that the regular activities of the Newark International Airport, where Flight 93 went off the next day were interrupted for about 35 minutes September 10, 2001, while security officials in this last place to respond to a call for small fire in a new administration building located several kilometers from the main terminal (W109).
Needless to say many things can happen in 35 minutes in the world of covert operations. How far should we believe in coincidences?
